Is there something i'm missing when it comes to Spectrobes? I played the first game and it bored the crap out of me from how you had to keep moving two steps and dig for fossils. The fact that combat on the game was incredibly stiff didn't help either, seeing as how the spectrobes you had were tethered to your sides and if they died you were screwed, since your own attack was useless. So how is it that such a boring game has sequels? Did the series actually get popular and if so, how do people consider the game fun?

Edit: On another note, what's with all the bad movies that have been getting released this summer? First it was Transformers 2, then GI Joe, not to mention several assorted ones, plus newer movies like Gamer and possibly Jennifer's Body? (A movie about a chick who gets sacrificed in a satanic ritual by a rock band, causing her body to be possessed by a demon who survives by seducing people and eating them? Sounds like a blockbuster to me! :L) Is this just the summer where directors try to win audiences with flare rather than story?

So about a month ago I got a prescription for some anxiety medicine and have been taking it ever since. It has helped a lot, too, so I no longer seem to have panic attacks. The only thing that's really odd is that moments that would cause me to be excessively anxious, like if i'm about to get hit by somebody who's not paying attention to the road (*cough*), an icy chill comes over me instead. It doesn't effect me in any other way, it's just sort of an oddity.

On an unrelated note, I saw GI Joe with my brother. Overall, it was okay. It wasn't good, it wasn't bad, it was just okay. I can safely say i've seen worse movies, though. *coughTransformer2scough*

As for WoW, not much to really comment on. I've been playing my Warlock a lot, since I was feeling nostalgic. Gearwise he's doing pretty good, but then again i've also haven't been hardcore raiding with him. Thankfully it has helped me mellow out, since god knows i've been taking raiding way too seriously. However, I did get a nifty little thing on him that I rather like.

Nifty indeed.

I need to download more freeware games. Obake was really fun to play. Managed to 100% it, although i'm probably gonna keep the game on my computer. I know what the stages are like now, but it's a fun game regardless.

By the way, for those that want to play it, I posted a link to it. Just don't go selecting the snowman too often when you beat the game and can choose who you want to start each level with. Because like 90% of the time you can just stick to the ceiling and ignore the obstacles. It's funny, though, because a good chunk of the 'G's can only be obtained by using either the snowman or the witch.

Been playing a nifty little freeware game I discovered. Obake.

I don't know what the plot is like, since I can't read the text in the game, but the basic gameplay is you're a ghost. You don't have any real powers, but you are able to possess other enemies and use them for your own doing. There are 24 different creatures that you are able to possess, each with their own abilities and stamina bar. Some are faster, some can take more of a beating, some can fly, some can shoot bullets, blah blah blah, all that noise. To be honest it feels like a Kirby game, only you become the guy instead of just stealing his power.

So far i'm up to the final world, not counting the secret one that can only be unlocked after finding all the 'G's in the game. So far the best character to possess is the snowman for a couple reasons. First he throws his head as a weapon, which is awesome enough, but at the same time he can also walk on the ceiling. For obvious reasons the snowman is the gamebreaker of Obake, since for a good chunk of the stages you can just skip everything by walking upside-down.

It's a really fun game, though. It definately gets trickier the deeper in you go, but it's definately worth trying.

Punch-out progress

More Punch-out progress in my ever-present goal to 100% the game. So far in the contender difficulty I have all the challenges complete for the minor and major circuit, as well as having Aran Ryan and Soda Popinski completed. I have two of Bald Bull, save of the star one. For Title Defense I have Disco Kid, King Hippo, Great Tiger and Don Flamenco completed, as well as having two for Bear Hugger and some singles sprinkled here and there.

I'm not looking forward to Mr. Sandman in contender, though. "Defeat Mr. Sandman without blocking, ducking, or dodging any punches" my ass. :(

Went to see Harry Potter and the Half-blood Prince with my mother today. For the most part it was a good movie, but there were a few parts that aren't really elaborated and left me wondering if I missed a movie somewhere. Now don't get me wrong, if you read the books these moments would probably make sense, but if you've only seen the movies like me you're gonna be confused. Let me give an example.

Near the beginning of the movie we see that one of Dumbledore's hands is sorta black. However, the movie never explains why his hand is like that. The previous movie doesn't have anything that would explain it, so it just leaves you wondering.

Alright, so I completed Punch-Out for the Wii, although I didn't 100% it yet. For the most part it's a good game, but the only thing that really bothers me is Mac's Last Stand. The first time I did it I didn't know what to expect. It was your simple "Lose three times and you retire" shtick, although it wasn't in the "One immediately after the other" dance I was expecting it to be. But there's only one thing that really bothers me.

You only get to do Mac's Last Stand once.

Yeah. You don't get a second chance to do it once you've run through it and lost three times. Three KOs and you're done with Career mode. Now i'm not sure if you get any sort of special movie if you get all the way through Mac's Last Stand, but if I had known you only had one shot with Mac's Last Stand I would've done some more exhibition matches to get ready. The three fighters that got me were Bald Bull, who I was terrible at, Donkey Kong, who I never fought before, and Mr. Sandman who I barely beat the first time. Now I did get Don Flamenco, Piston Hondo and Disco Kid, but the game just didn't seem to like me, so it decided to push my shit in early with fights I suck at and get it over with.

Oh well. That being said, this was a really good game. It had the same charm as the original Punch-Out and was definately a joy to play. I used the classic control the whole time, so i'm not sure how the nunchuck/wiimote combo fares out (I heard it was very clumsy on fights that require split-second reaction, which is funny since the Title Defense mode has a lot of fights like that).

So i've been having some issues with stress recently. Not in the way where I have a short fuse, but rather where my body won't stop being stressed. It's sorta like my brain isn't aware that there's nothing to be worried about, so it just acts as though something's wrong. And it never seems to want to stop. I have tried eating healthier in hopes that it will help and technically it's helped a little, but it still happens and quite frankly it's getting annoying.

On a lighter note I got Punch-out for the Wii. So far i'm up to Bald Bull on champion mode, who is a pain in the ass, since he can only be knocked down with star punches.

So yeah. My computer really doesn't like foreign browsers for some reason. Because now my computer freezes when I use Google Chrome, much like it did with Firefox, which means I have to use Internet Explorer 8 for my browsing. I tried taking my computer to a repair shop to see if they could figure out what was causing the freezes, but they couldn't figure out why.

Honestly I don't mind Internet Explorer. Sure it's a fucking hog of a browser, but in the end what would you pick? Would you pick a browser that's slow, or would you pick a browser that causes your computer to freeze?

Just got back from watching the Transformers movie and... yeah. It was pretty much what I expected. A lot of special effects with a plot as gripping as a wet noodle. Thankfully the product placement was minimal, but there were a lot of pointless scenes that probably could've been removed from the movie. I'll probably go into more detail later, but I don't want to spoil too much for those that want to see how bad it is.

Edit: I come back from a movie and Michael Jackson is dead? Wow, that certainly wasn't expected. (I'd comment more, but to be honest i'm not a big music/celebrity person. Sure, I like what Michael did with his work, but I didn't listen to his music growing up, so his death doesn't really change anything for me.)
